After uploading an Access database into SharePoint, in the sub-site we see a warning. The problem is caused by the machine’s time zone.

Your local machine time zone does not match your current SharePoint Regional Settings. Operations involving dates will not work correctly

To fix this problem, we have to go into the user’s account settings.

  • click on the username – My Settings.

Inthe new page, click on My Regional Settings.

For us to be able to edit the settings, we have to add a check mark on Always follow web settings setting.

To fix that notification message, just choose the according time zone.
Depending on our needs, we can make other changes, like calendar type, alternate calendar, etc.

Now, after we save these changes, that notification message won’t appear anymore.
