Lync-Guistic a.k.a. Microsoft Lync 2010 Conversation Translator is a conversation translator for Microsoft Lync Online 2010.
This plugin brings a very useful addition to Lync. It uses the translation engine offered by Bing.
What does it do? Using the Silverlight plugin it creates a new discussions panel. The new panel is shown side-by-side with the default one.
How do we work with Lync-Guistic?
Download and install Lync-Guistic from here;
Start a new conversation and then click on the More Options button;
Click on Conversation Translator;
Now a new discussion panel is opened;
To translate a conversation we have to select the desired language and then to activate the translator;
Click on Options;
Select your writing language;
Activate the translator.
How to translate?
In the right side panel write your text and then press Enter (1);
In the left side panel we will see our text translated (3);
When we will receive an answer (4) in the right side panel it will appear translated (2).
More than that, this plugin is able to show the translation, without sending the message.
Just put a check mark on the Preview option (a).
In the (a1) panel write your text – click on (a2) command and in panel (a3) you will see the translation.
To send the message, either click on (a4) command, either hit the Enter key.
